Patients Clinical — technical overview ​

Deletes are soft-deletes (house rule: never hard-delete patient data). DELETE endpoints answer 204 and set status = "archived"; list endpoints show only active rows, single-item GETs by id still return archived rows for history, the 1:1 contact GETs answer data: null for an archived row, contact upserts revive that row, and the bulk history replace archives the superseded set instead of destroying it (pc_0003). medical_reference patient flags read only active rows.
